If you have a tumble drier and one of these why would you be in and out to a line checking the weather having to air out damp clothes from the line? It makes little sense to me now.Ĭlothes even hold the faint scent you get when they have been line dried outside. I put pillows, towels socks and pants, and well everything really. I put things like duvets etc on the top (prop a space so the air can escape though!) I move it around but the heat given off dries a bigger area so it doesn’t take long. I even dry delicate hand wash items in it. The dry time matches the wash load cycle so no clothes hanging around. I use all the rungs on each post but then put four more items lower down on the metal struts as well so you can dry a fair bit all at the same time. We Absolutely love this- I dont have an outside washing line anymore. This will be our fourth one - they have all had lots of use. So pleased to have found this new Dri buddi. Shame it’s discontinued ITS AN AMAZING ITEM! I don't know how much electricity it uses, but long-term it's probably much better for my house than having damp fusty clothes lying everywhere! Read full review As the clothes are all hanging up, they dry crease-free, probably even more so if you are wise enough to buy the jml hanger kit too. To be honest, I think I over-dried them, as some were a bit crispy. Two hours later, All the clothes (~6kg) were dry as a bone and they and the room smelled lovely. It's very quiet, and after a funny smell a bit like a hairdryer for the first few minutes, I managed to shut the door and forget about it. I zipped up the cover, which was easy enough, but also quite easy to knock hangers off the arms while doing so! Put it on the timer for 2 hours and left beside an open window in the spare room. I could do with a few trouser hangers and the peg hooks for underwear so I just hung what I could. I immediately hung up most of a wash (apart from the things that could be tumble dried) -second small improvement needed- the stand doesn't rotate, which would be handy for hanging up washing. Once assembled ( 10mins) I realised I hadn't bought the hanger kit so had to go through my wardrobe for plastic hangers. The only slight improvement to assembly would be the legs, they could fit slightly better for a more even stance. It was so easy to put together, the instructions were clear and not really needed anyway. I unpacked it the day of arrival as soon as I got home. So despite it delivering the functions claimed, design issues will limit its life.I bought this hoping it would reduce the amount of damp clothes on airers around my house that invariably smell a bit fusty before they have dried fully. Stabi lity may be a problem if standing on thick carpet. It certainly costs far less to buy too and requires less room than a tumble dryer. So it does offer an alternative to a tumble dryer and will consume far less electricity. Be careful to spread the load, else again the weak thread can dislodge. It does dry clothes effectively and reduce the need for ironing although can only hold a limited load. Lowering the rails can reduce the space but when doing that the weak threads on the poles can easily fail and dislodge. Once assembled the footprint is about 50cm squared. The plastic 'buds' securing the legs are also easily dislodged. You have to be ultra careful assembling it and regular de-assembly for storage just increases the risk of damage. What spoils this product most are the very soft aluminium tubes which have such delicate threads. Design Issues Spoil What Could Be a Good Product For Small Loads
